Welcome to Orchard Springs!
Opening for camping 30th April 2021
COVID 19 Update
Due to the current pandemic we have made some changes to the normal running of the site in order to meet government guidelines.
Our toilet facilities will be open as they are individual self contained shower rooms so our customers will be able to use whilst maintaining social distancing. We will be asking all customers to use the hand sanitizer provided before entering the facilities we will be also have an enhanced cleaning regime so please bear with us if this increases waiting times.
Although the campers kitchen area will be open it will only be available for washing up and we are asking that only one ‘bubble’ enter at a time. There will be no fridge, freezer or microwave as the use of these could increase the risk to our customers.
We have also taken the decision not to have the shop or bakery for this season as again we are trying to minimise the risk to our customers.
We will also not be allowing any visitors on site who are not booked in to stay as this will affect our ability to track and trace.
However we are sure these changes will not detract from you being able to enjoy a relaxing break at Orchard Springs.
We look forward to welcoming you during these difficult times.
Best wishes David and Emma
Having spent the last 10 years owning and running St Mabyn Holiday Park we have now moved on and have just set up Orchard Springs Campsite, a new campsite exclusively for tents, (although we have 3 letting units for those who prefer not to camp). We hope to be welcoming both previous and new customers here very soon!! Be one of the first to enjoy our brand new luxurious facilities, those of you that stayed with us at St Mabyn will know the high standard of facilities that we now offer here at Orchard Springs!! See you soon!!!
Perfectly situated in the heart of the County with easy access to both the North and South Coasts, our Cornish hideaway Campsite, with only 30 pitches exclusively for tents to choose from, we also have a small number of letting units for those who prefer not to camp. The campsite sits in a quiet, tucked away location whilst being just a few minutes’ drive from the A30 and former County town of Bodmin. Running alongside the campsite is a delightful stream which leads into the Camel River and a short walk to the Camel cycle trail will take keen cyclists on a scenic route to nearby Wadebridge and onto the fishing harbour of Padstow. Truly a walkers/cyclists paradise.
Bodmin, 1 mile, has a wide selection of amenities including supermarkets, pubs, restaurants, cycle hire and the infamous Bodmin Jail. The Eden Project and Lanhydrock House are a fifteen minute drive respectively. This is an ideal base for touring the County with easy road access and situated midway between the North and South coasts both less than a half hours drive, there are also countryside walks, golf courses, cycle routes and hiking trails in the area.
On site we bake our own pastries and bread in the mornings and have a small shop for the essentials like milk, eggs, bacon and sausages. We offer a new shower block with individual shower rooms with plenty of hot water, pot washing and freezer in the campers kitchen. Our ethos is very laid back, there is no clubhouse or constant traffic noise just the odd tractor passing from time to time.
We are a quiet family site and as such we do not allow music or radios to be played on pitches at anytime. We cannot accommodate large groups, we welcome friendly dogs and kindly request that they are kept on a lead whilst on site.
A site for lovers of open fields and big skies.
